Salman was born on 8 May 2001 to Mohsin Nawaz and Maria Mohsin. His father Mohsin Nawaz was paralyzed by polio at the age of 2 and retinal detachment at the age of 13. But her struggle and determination helped her become the world's first radio and TV host with multiple disabilities. He is also the Executive Director of "Willing Ways", a renowned rehabilitation center in Pakistan.
Salman Ahmed Awan was brought up by his parents in such a way that he started learning about psychology and personality development from a very young age. His parents always encouraged him to share his views and even when he was a child his parents used to take his opinion while taking any decision. Salman's first interaction with the camera happened when he was only 9 years old in which he presented a news bulletin and the video was recorded on a Nokia mobile.
The video gained popularity as various news channels started showing clips in various TV shows and the video went viral on social media. No one knew that this little boy would become a famous motivational speaker in the years to come.
Salman and his elder brother Ali Ahmed Awan decided to make educational videos and started productive use of social media. Salman started making motivational videos in 2015 at the age of just 14. At the time, educational videos had low viewership and only a few motivational speakers.
